What wood therapy is
Wood therapy, also called maderoterapia, is a body contouring technique that started in Colombia. It uses specially shaped, hand-carved wooden tools (rollers, cups, and paddles) worked over the body with firm, intentional pressure. The technique is designed to help smooth the look of cellulite, define curves, and stimulate circulation and the lymphatic system.
How it shapes your results
In The Signature Sculpt Method, wood therapy comes after cavitation and radio frequency. It’s the step that gives the body its sculpted, defined appearance, especially around the waist, hips, thighs, and buttocks. It also helps get things moving before the session’s lymphatic drainage step.
Christina has performed this work on more than 2,000 clients since 2020, and technique is everything with wood therapy. The tools are only as good as the hands using them.
What it feels like
Expect firm, deliberate pressure. It can feel intense on tender areas, but it should never be painful, and Christina adjusts to your comfort throughout. Drink plenty of water afterward and keep the day light.
Results
Many clients notice smoother-looking skin and a more defined shape after a single session, with results building over a series. Results vary, and Christina will recommend the session count that fits your goals.
